On Christmas Day 2025, West Palm Beach police responded to a CVS on North Dixie Highway after a store manager reported a suspected shoplifting incident. According to the probable cause affidavit, the manager told officers that a man wearing blue pants, a red sweater, tan shoes, and an orange wig had entered the store carrying an empty black purse. Police later located a man matching that description near the Palm Beach Lakes bridge. The report states that the manager told officers she had seen the same individual stealing from the store before. Surveillance footage allegedly showed the suspect entering CVS, taking several items, placing them into his bag, and leaving without paying. The manager was then brought to the location and positively identified him. Police reported recovering approximately $21.37 worth of merchandise, including socks, candy, and a fruit punch drink. The suspect was arrested on one count of petit theft, and the affidavit notes that the charge was enhanced due to an alleged prior petit-theft conviction.
