On March 17, 2023, at approximately 10:29 hours, I responded to a residence in reference to a combative juvenile male. Upon arrival, I made contact with the complainant, Wanda Walker, who stated that her son, Isiah Jackson, had become increasingly aggressive and verbally abusive, and had also displayed violent behavior. Ms. Walker advised that the incident began when Mr. Jackson refused to report to the school bus. When she confronted him about his failure to attend school, a verbal altercation escalated. During the argument, Mr. Jackson reportedly grabbed several wooden chairs and slammed them into the wall, causing property damage. Due to his behavior, Mr. Jackson was taken into custody and charged with Criminal Trespass – Damage to Property. Mr. Jackson was secured in the rear seat of my patrol vehicle with a seatbelt. Dispatch was notified of my beginning and ending mileage for transport. Upon arrival at the jail, I safely secured my duty weapon in a designated lockbox prior to entering the facility. Mr. Jackson was searched again inside the jail, and the rear of my patrol vehicle was also inspected following transport. It should also be noted that Turnmeika Smith of the Mobile Crisis Center had been contacted by Ms. Walker prior to my arrival. However, due to the escalating nature of the situation, Ms. Smith advised Ms. Walker to contact law enforcement instead. According to the complainant, this was not the first time Mobile Crisis had been contacted regarding Mr. Jackson.
