Stolen Car Suspect SLAMS Into Police Cruiser During Wild Pursuit Disclaimer: This video is presented for educational, documentary, and informational purposes. Canton, Ohio — On July 7, 2026, authorities began searching for a gray Kia Telluride reportedly driven by 39-year-old Julius Edwards after the vehicle fled from Canton police officers and U.S. Marshals. Edwards was wanted in connection with an alleged attempted murder stemming from a stabbing incident in Canton earlier that day. After the vehicle was detected by license-plate recognition cameras, Ohio State Troopers located the Kia at approximately 7:27 p.m. on Darrow Road in Hudson. When troopers attempted a traffic stop, the driver allegedly refused to pull over, leading officers on a pursuit. During the chase, the Kia reportedly ran a red light at Terex Road and was involved in a serious crash that injured multiple people. Edwards then allegedly exited the vehicle and fled on foot. According to authorities, shots were fired at a pursuing trooper, who returned fire. Edwards escaped into a nearby wooded area as law enforcement established a perimeter and continued searching. Shortly before 8:25 p.m., troopers reportedly spotted Edwards driving a silver Chrysler Town & Country that authorities said had been stolen during a carjacking. Another pursuit began after the vehicle failed to stop for emergency lights. After approximately 10 minutes and the involvement of multiple law enforcement agencies, the pursuit came to a dramatic end when the Chrysler collided with a Summit Metro Parks police cruiser near Saybrooke Boulevard and Bunker Lane, causing a rollover crash. Edwards allegedly attempted to flee on foot but was taken into custody by Stow Police officers and Ohio State Troopers. The Summit Metro Parks officer suffered minor injuries, while no other law enforcement officers were reported injured. According to Canton Municipal Court records cited in reports about the incident, Edwards faced charges including attempted murder, felonious assault, and domestic violence in connection with the earlier stabbing. 🚨 The Bodycam Series presents publicly available law-enforcement footage with original editing, narration, context, sequencing, and analysis to document and examine real police incidents. ⚠️ Viewer discretion is advised.
