On June 28, 2025, Hoboken Police Officer Valentino Salgado responded to a motor vehicle crash near 2nd Street. He observed a black Tesla with heavy damage and was directed to a white GMC SUV driven by Bailee Zimmerman. Zimmerman admitted to being distracted by a text message when she struck the other vehicle. Officers detected indicators of impairment and the odor of alcohol, leading to field sobriety exercises. In this clip, Bailee Zimmerman questions Officer Alexander Miller's instructions during the Walk and Turn test, stating she has an ACL tear.
