Description

Welcome to swamp cop. Today's video finds a group of wildlife officers on patrol when they spot scuba divers surfacing near a dive boat, but they don't see any visible dive flag. Once all divers are on the boat, the officers prepare to board the vessel. As they approach, they notice someone throwing lobster overboard. The officers jump back on the boat to discuss the charges. There’s a Florida statue that states that all dive flags must have a metal stiffener to ensure it remain fully extended, even without wind. In this area of Florida, the recreational limit on lobster is 6 per person. With the two lobsters he tossed overboard and the two found hidden behind the cooler, he is 4 over the limit. The scuba diver was charged with going over the bag limit for lobsters and obstructing an investigation by throwing lobsters overboard. Other citations were issued to divers for improper display of dive flag. The lobster diver was handcuffed and taken to the local county jail. He will face a judge and potentially $1,500 in fees.
