On December 21, 2025, in Los Angeles, California Highway Patrol officers were investigating an unrelated hit-and-run accident on 147th Street near the 3100 block of 1347th Street when they suddenly heard a loud engine revving nearby. Officers observed a vehicle engaging in what is known as a street takeover/sideshow. A Black 2006 Pontiac GTO with two occupants was performing illegal donuts creating a smoke-filled intersection and a dangerous situation for the spectator's and public. The entire incident was captured on a malfunctioning dashcam and both of the officer's body worn cameras. Officers cited and released the passenger from custody at the scene. The driver was arrested without further incident and transported to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department - Carson Station where they learned the county's breath machine was not functioning. The suspect agreed to a blood test and was transported to Memorial Hospital of Gardena where 2 vials of blood were obtained. Officers then transported him and booked him into the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department - Century Station without further incident. The driver was Identified as Albert Azeem Marion he was charged with the following charges: 594(B)(1) - Vandalism $5000 Or More 23109(A) - Illegal Speed Contest 23152(A) - DUI Alcohol/Drugs 23152(B) - DUI Alcohol W/BAC Above .08 148A - Resist / Obstruct / Delay Peace Officer The Passenger was identified as Joshua Brito he was cited and released for the following charge: 23109(B) - Illegal Exhibition Of Speed 4 days later after this incident Albert Azeem Marion, age 27, died on December 25, 2025, in Los Angeles California (Canoga Park) when he crashed his Pontiac GTO into a tree. here is a link to a video showing the accident. https://youtube.com/shorts/kRkK-UF_aSs?si=yelSbL0YVZGKEnRh California Highway Patrol officers involved: Officer S.
