On December 13, 2025, in Los Angeles County, a California Highway Patrol officer observed a red Honda CBR motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed on Interstate 110 near Torrance Boulevard. The motorcycle was visually estimated at approximately 90 mph. The officer's dashcam and bodycam captured the encounter. The officer noted multiple violations, including an obstructed license plate and expired registration. After initiating a traffic stop, the rider briefly complied before accelerating away, leading police on a high-speed pursuit through Los Angeles County. During the police pursuit, the rider weaved through traffic, crossed multiple lanes without signaling, and reached speeds of approximately 85–90 miles per hour, creating a significant risk to other motorists. The pursuit continued onto SR-91 before officers eventually lost visual contact and discontinued the police pursuit for public safety reasons. Officers identified the registered owner from the motorcycles license plate and responded to the residence address on file with the DMV in South Gate. Upon contact, officers determined the suspect had returned home. The individual was taken into custody without further incident. Officers determined the suspect was operating the motorcycle with a suspended license related to prior DUI convictions. The rider was booked into the Los Angeles Sheriff's Departments Century Jail on the following charges: 2800.2(a) CVC – Felony Evading Law Enforcement (Reckless Driving) 14601.2(a) CVC – Driving With a Suspended License California Highway Patrol Officers involved: Officer K.
