n the night of 26 October 2023, deputies in Clallam County, Washington, were sent to check on a woman at a house at Diamond Point, near Sequim. Susan Ferrel, 65, was found dead inside. The woman who had been living in the house, Aline Jones, sat in the back of a patrol car and told a deputy how she had spent her day. Two days later she sat in an interview room and told it again.
