On June 11, 2025, Orlando Police Officers Blom and Rosario observed a vehicle disregard a solid red traffic light. They initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle as it pulled into a parking lot. The vehicle was being driven by a 21-year-old woman. As Officer Blom approached the vehicle, he observed the woman attempt to conceal open containers of alcohol. As Officer Blom was speaking with her, she decided to place a call on her cell phone. She denied consuming alcohol and repeatedly argued that it was unlawful to be stopped in a parking lot. The police report indicates that officers could alcohol coming from the vehicle. The driver was asked to step out of the vehicle, but she became uncooperative and belligerent. As a result, she was detained in handcuffs. She eventually agreed to perform standardized field sobriety tests, so she was released from handcuffs. After the tests, she was arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI). En route to the police station, she slipped out of her handcuffs. At the Orange County DUI testing center, the woman asked to use the restroom. Due to the testing center's policies, body worn cameras are not to be activated. After using the restroom, Officer Rosario escorted her to a holding cell. According to the police report, the woman was standing in the doorway and refused to enter the cell. The woman kicked the door to the holding cell with her right foot, intentionally kicking the door towards the direction of Officer Rosario. The steel door allegedly struck Officer Rosario's left hand. She ended up refusing to submit to a breath test. Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
