On April 2, 2024, a worrisome incident occurred in Craighead County when a concerned citizen found a 7-year-old boy walking alone at his farm shop on Craighead Road 457. The child, trying to reach Valley View School, had missed the morning bus and feared getting in trouble at home if he didn't attend school.
