Boca Raton, FL - on July 7th 2025, Boca Raton police followed up on a call they had received from a nursing services agency and a family member of a 94-year-old elderly man. The call was in reference to a caregiver that was suspected of stealing checks from the mans home. The caregiver Manuela Leonard, 28, has allegedly stolen at least 4 different checks totaling over $5,000. Detectives interview Ms. Leonard after their investigation found herself and her car were caught on surveillance video at the bank when the check deposits were made.
