On August 3, 2024, in San Francisco California, Highway Patrol officers initiated a pursuit of a Mercedes sedan that made an unsafe lane change on Interstate 280 northbound near the Cesar Chavez exit. After a short pursuit the Mercedes came to complete stop at the intersection of Alemany Boulevard and Ellsworth Street and the driver was taken into custody without further incident.
