On Friday, 02/02/24, the police responded to the HOG'S BREATH Saloon in the 400 block of Front Street in Key West, Florida, regarding an intoxicated individual. Dispatch reported that the person was highly intoxicated and in need of assistance. She displayed slurred speech, glassy/watery/bloodshot eyes, and a strong smell of alcohol on her breath. Her husband, a white male married to her for a year, was trying to help her stand and seemed worried about her well-being. The police observed as she began to hit her husband in the chest and shoulder with her closed fist. After a few moments, she struck him three more times in the chest. The officer then instructed her not to hit her husband and identified himself as a police officer. In response, she defiantly stated, "I don't care who you are." She was charged with domestic battery and resisiting arrest.
