** (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) ** A man on a moped leads police on a chase that ends with his arrest. It started just after 9 on Wednesday night after a Mt. Pleasant Police Officer spotted a moped driver on Oak Street. The officer reports the vehicle was missing a registration sticker and the driver was not sitting on it properly. When the officer tried to stop the driver, he took off down Pine Street. In dash-cam video provided by the police department you can see the brief chase, and watch as the driver leaves the road near Locust Street, crosses the railroad tracks, loses control of the moped and then runs off on foot. The officer was able to catch up to the 26-year-old Mt. Pleasant man around Mill Pond Park. He was arrested on charges of driving on a suspended license, among others.
