On Sunday, November 16, 2025, officers with the Mariemont Police Department responded to a reported domestic disturbance involving a mother and her two daughters. Officers located the family after the vehicle stopped at a Marathon gas station, where they began their investigation by interviewing each person separately. During the investigation, the mother admitted striking her daughter with a closed fist following an argument while the daughter was practicing driving with a learner's permit. The second daughter, who was also in the vehicle, provided a separate witness statement describing what she saw. Officers compared the statements and continued gathering information before determining how to proceed. Following the investigation, officers determined there was probable cause to arrest the mother in connection with the reported domestic violence incident. After interviewing the victim, the witness, and the mother, officers took her into custody while the case continued through the legal process.
