Eitel unit 22 and I arrived at the Circleville Municipal Court 151 E Franklin St. Circleville OH 43113 to serve a Civil Protection Order to Cody R Henderson. Upon arrival to the court lobby contact was made with Chief Bailiff Scott Thompson and informed him of the Civil Protection Order needing to be served. Mr. Henderson was at the Clerk of Courts window. Deputy McCrabb attempted to get the attention of Mr. Henderson who just walked past in the lobby ignoring Scott Thompson, Deputy McCrabb and Sgt Eitel. Mr. Henderson continued to walk into the court room stating "I'm good" and took a spot in the second row on the left side of the court room. Both McCrabb and Eitel approached Mr. Henderson, who immediately attempted to push past both deputies trying not to acknowledge the service of the CPO. Mr. Henderson continued back into the court lobby where McCrabb attempted to read the CPO. Mr. Henderson got loud and belligerent, shouting loud profanities causing a disturbance in the court lobby and in the court room. Mr. Henderson continued to physically and verbally resist Deputies efforts to serve the CPO causing the Deputies to go hands on to restrict the movement of Mr. Henderson. He continued to push back and attempt to bull rush past both Deputies. Sgt. Eitel then stated he was under arrest. McCrabb and Eitel struggled to the ground with Mr. Henderson and wrestled with him to get handcuffs on him. After being handcuffed Mr. Henderson continued to be verbally abusive stating he wanted to fight Deputies and Officers. Mr. Henderson then requested medical treatment stating he had received an injured wrist and his leg was swollen. Mr. Henderson was seen on scene by Circleville Fire Department Medics and refused to have any vitals assessed and refused further treatment. Mr. Henderson then refused to be placed into the back passenger seat of Corporal Montgomery's cruiser where he continued to resist by falling to the ground and becoming dead weight. Deputies then pushed him into the back seat of the cruiser and closed the door. Mr. Henderson continued to be disorderly by yelling and kicking the passenger side rear door of Montgomery's cruiser for the duration of the ride to the Pickaway County Jail. Cpl. Montgomery's cruiser 6517 rear passenger door had been kicked out of alignment where it was taken to an auto body shop to have the door put back into place. After the door was put back into place it was determined that the door had not received any contact damage. Mr. Henderson was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Obstructing Official Business, and Resisting Arrest. The incident was captured by body worn camera."
