An officer observed Steven Harris walking northbound on Noah Ave. near Slosson St., noticing that he was walking in the street despite available sidewalks. Harris carried two backpacks under his left arm and held up his left pants pocket. Upon spotting the cruiser, Harris lifted his mask to cover his face. The officers circled the block and saw Harris approach the intersection of Lawton St. and Noah Ave. Harris immediately stopped, tying his shoes and repeatedly checking for police presence. He then rang a doorbell, pretended to make a phone call, and leaned over the porch banister, appearing to seek an escape route. Eventually, he sat on the front porch steps. When officers approached, they attempted a pat-down due to suspicious behavior, but Harris resisted, claiming he was visiting his uncle. Despite warnings not to flee, Harris attempted to evade officers, jumping off the porch. After a struggle, he was handcuffed. A glass drug pipe was found in his pocket, and the homeowner confirmed not to know him. Harris was charged and transported to SCJ. ⚠️Note: Footage from this video was obtained via the Ohio Public Records Act (R.C. 149.43) All persons featured on the channel are to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
