On July 28, 2025, the Westfield Police Department received calls about a reckless driver. Officer Albanese located a vehicle matching the description given by the callers and initiated a traffic stop. The vehicle was being driven by a 44-year-old woman, who claimed she was going to the store to buy steaks. Officers asked the woman to step out of the vehicle and discovered that she wasn't wearing a shirt. She was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests, which concluded with her being arrested for Operating Under the Influence. She then claimed that she had 2 children unattended at home. Officers went to her residence to discover that her kids were away at summer camp. The police report indicates that woman refused to submit to breath testing.
