On July 17, 2024, Roswell Police Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident where a car stuck a fence and a car that was parked in the front yard of a home. Officer Juarez arrived to find a 29-year-old woman still sitting in her crashed vehicle. Officer Juarez had the woman exit her vehicle, but neighbors from several houses soon began yelling at the woman. Officer Juarez had to call for backup in order to maintain the peace. Because of the tense situation involving the neighbors, Officer Juarez was unable to perform field sobriety testing. Instead, he interviewed the driver, who admitted that she had been drinking. She was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and was transported to the Roswell police station. She submitted to an evidential breath test and the result was 0.14% BAC.
