A late-night traffic stop turns into one of the hardest arrests an officer has to make. In this police bodycam footage, a mother pleads with officers not to arrest her in front of her child, terrified she could lose custody. She agrees to field sobriety tests but becomes overwhelmed as the situation unfolds and emotions take over. After failing sobriety tests and resisting during handcuffing, officers proceed with a DUI arrest — while also making sure the child is safely picked up by family. This video shows the real-world consequences of impaired driving and the difficult balance officers face between compassion and responsibility on the street. Watch the full encounter and share your thoughts respectfully.
