🚨 Officer involved shooting and pursuit (St. Clair, MO) On December 15, 2023, St. Clair Police officers responded to reports of a reckless driver swerving into oncoming traffic on Highway 30. Witnesses said the vehicle was unable to maintain its lane and appeared heavily intoxicated. Officers located the suspect — David Hill — pulled over near Bardot Street. When officers approached, Hill dug around inside his vehicle, appeared visibly intoxicated, and had a strong odor of alcohol. A green leafy substance was seen in plain view. As officers attempted to identify him, Hill threw the vehicle into drive and accelerated, with Officer Ball partially inside the vehicle. Officer Ball discharged his weapon as Hill sped away, narrowly freeing himself from the moving vehicle. Hill fled at high speeds, driving into oncoming lanes and endangering the public.
