A routine traffic stop for speeding takes a turn when the passenger decides she has absolutely no intention of making things easy for the deputies. The driver cooperates and remains mostly respectful throughout the encounter, but his passenger starts with an attitude almost immediately. When deputies discover an open alcohol container at her feet, she refuses to hand it over and argues about getting out of the vehicle. Things get even worse after she's placed in handcuffs. She initially cooperates, but while being escorted to the patrol car, she begins resisting and is eventually taken to the ground. What started as a simple traffic stop ends with the passenger facing a charge of battery on a law enforcement officer. Sometimes, the best way to stay out of jail is to simply stop talking.
