On July 12, 2024, in Los Angeles, California. According to arrest records, CHP officers responded to a disabled vehicle blocking traffic lanes on the westbound Interstate 105 off-ramp at Sepulveda Boulevard. CHP Officers located a white Rolls-Royce Ghost stopped in the number one lane of traffic with the driver asleep behind the wheel while the engine was still running. Officers reported a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle and the driver’s breath, along with red and watery eyes. The driver agreed to perform field sobriety tests, during which officers observed signs of impairment including lack of smooth pursuit and sustained nystagmus during the horizontal gaze nystagmus test, as well as errors on the walk-and-turn test. Preliminary alcohol screening later indicated breath alcohol concentrations above the legal limit: BAC Results: 11:33 PM — 0.125% 11:36 PM — 0.123% Due to a malfunctioning breath testing device at the CHP office, the driver was transported to the Los Angeles Police Department's West Los Angeles Division office where two additional breath samples were obtained: Chemical Breath Test Results: 12:41 AM — 0.088% 12:43 AM — 0.089% Charges: CVC 23152(a) — Driving under the influence of alcohol CVC 23152(b) — Driving with a blood alcohol concentration over 0.08% Following testing, the driver was identified as Jordan Lee Addison, a wide receiver for the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings. He was taken to the West Los Angeles Division office, where he was cited and then released. All individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
