🚨 Walmart Shoplifting Turns Into Major Drug Bust in Bryant, Arkansas 🚨 What started as a shoplifting call at Walmart quickly escalated into a major narcotics investigation. Officers first made contact with a woman who attempted to leave Walmart with over $117 in unpaid merchandise. Moments later her husband was stopped outside in a white Tahoe. Meth, pills, and marijuana confiscated! @CentralArkansasCams @PoliceActivity POLICE REPORT: On Saturday, July 19, 2025 at approximately 1416 hours, I was dispatched to the Bryant Walmart in reference to a shoplifting in progress. Upon my arrival, contact was made with Asset Protection Dennis Hill, who had a female later identified as Janee Chomyn. Chomyn had passed the point of sell with approximately $117.47 of unpaid merchandise. During contact, a male, later identified as Taevon Gordon was located exiting and stopped advising he was Chomyn's husband. AP Hill stated that Gordon was inside with Chomyn and was unsure if he had concealed any items inside his pants. Gordon walked out the doors due to me dealing with Chomyn and went towards the parking lot. I advised Officer Kleiser to assist, and the male was seen going to row 11 and getting into a white Tahoe. Officer Kleiser and Sgt. Hastings located a male inside the vehicle. While searching the male, approximately 11.2 grams of suspected methamphetamine and a total of $530.00 in $10.00 bills and $20.00 bills, were located in Gordon's pants pocket. Chomyn was placed under arrest for theft of property and read Miranda Rights due to questions about the vehicle. Chomyn was asked about the bags inside the vehicle and she stated that some were hers but some were also Gordon's. While searching Chomyn's person and purse, a total of $2.303.00 was found and she advised the money was from her son's life insurance. Chomyn stated the vehicle was hers. While searching the vehicle multiple individual baggies were found along with a digital scale, which is known for selling narcotics. Also inside the vehicle was approximately 61.2 grams of suspected marijuana with some of the marijuana being packaged in separate smaller bags, packaged for sale. With the large amount of money, baggies, scales and marijuana it is apparent that Chomyn is attempting to distribute the narcotics. Both Chomyn and Gordon were trespassed from Walmart. Chomyn was transported to the Saline County Jail and charged with resisting arrest and possession of meth/ cocaine 2g-28g. After leaving the jail, a call came out for a found item from Stealth Recovery from towing the vehicle from Walmart. Officer Robinson responded to Stealth Recovery to take possession of the item. Stealth Recovery located in the gas cap approximately 89.6 grams of suspected meth a three pills of suspected buprenorphine. No charges were added at this time.
