He was called there for a shoplifting report. An asset protection worker told him a 19-year-old woman tried to leave with 147.57 dollars in unpaid goods. She also had a bag of items she had paid for. The woman was identified as Jayla Mable Wilson. Store staff showed the officer video from the surveillance cameras. The footage showed Jayla failing to scan several items at the self-checkout before she tried to walk out. Jayla said she was sorry. Since the store wanted to press charges, Patrolman Schou arrested her. The officer put her in his car and drove her to the Eatontown Police Department. Once there, police took her fingerprints and a photo. Jayla was charged with shoplifting under 2C:20-11B(2). She was released while waiting for her court date. If you enjoyed this BodyCamBust video.
