On March 8, 2024. Deputies from the Dodge County Sheriff's Department responded to a two vehicle accident that occurred on the freeway. Deputies arrived and made contact with the occupants of both vehicles. While speaking to one of the drivers (Victor), a deputy noted the smell of intoxicants coming from his breath. When asked, the driver admitted to having a few drinks but refused to to field sobriety tests. A handheld breathalyzer showed that Victor had a BAC of .221, but a more accurate breathalyzer at the jail showed that he had a BAC of .283. Victor was arrested and charged with OWI (2nd). He was sentenced to 30 days in jail and his driver's license got suspended for 12 months. This video is for educational purposes only.
