On 11/14/2025 at 4:05 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Meadowlands Plaza Hotel located at 40 Wood Avenue on a report of a male making threatening statements towards hotel staff. During the investigation, the police responded to the Franklin located at 780 5th Street and arrested a 61-year-old male, male of Jersey City, NJ for Terroristic Threats [2C:12-3B], Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D] for possessing a knife and Certain Persons Prohibited from having Weapons [2C:39-7A]. He was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. An arrest is not a finding of guilt: that’s something for a court to decide.
