On April 10, 2024, Racine County deputies responded to a report of a red Hummer in a ditch in the Town of Norway. When officers arrived, they found the driver, Kosinski, covered in mud, smelling of alcohol, and showing signs of intoxication. He admitted to having drinks at a bar while waiting for pizza, and an empty beer can was found near his SUV. When asked to perform a field sobriety test, Kosinski refused. As deputies moved to arrest him for OWI, he fled on foot and resisted.
