On March 8, 2025, deputies from the Broward County Sheriff's Office were called to St. Pat's Irish Pub in reference to an intoxicated and belligerent 21-year-old woman who would not leave the property. When Deputy Blackson approached the woman, she got very close to him and pointed her finger at him. Deputy Blackson tried to de-escalate the situation by asking to woman to back up. However, several seconds later, she lunged towards Deputy Blackson and slapped him on the face. He did an immediate takedown of the woman in order to gain control of her and get her in handcuffs. A Sergeant arrived to discuss the use of force with the woman, but she refused to discuss the matter. She was transported to the Broward County Jail, where she faces two felony charges and one misdemeanor charge. Her exact charges are listed at the end of the video. Her case is still open and call suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
