buymeacoffee.com/BlueLineLens On March 12, 2025, at approximately 4 p.m., Police Officers Nasir Willey and Michael Chen responded to the Hoboken Shelter, 300 Bloomfield St., on reports of a man acting disorderly. Upon arrival, employees pointed out the man, later identified as 39-year-old Matthew Farrell of Hoboken and asked the officers to remove him from the establishment. Farrell refused to leave, and when officers told him he had to leave, he walked toward the exit and said he was going to slap them. He was placed under arrest for defiant trespassing. Farrell resisted arrest by swinging his arms and tensing them up. He eventually cooperated and was handcuffed. While placing him in the patrol car, Farrell unbuckled his seat and tried to leave. He kicked one of the officers and the rear window. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where he verbally threatened officers with violence. He was charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer with bodily injury, making terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. He was ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility. These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. #hoboken #trespass #news
