On July 2, 2023, Las Cruces Police responded to a motor vehicle accident, where a SUV crashed into a house. The female driver was extremely intoxicated. She refused field sobriety testing and a breath test at the police station. She was taken to the hospital for medical clearance before being taken to the jail. Once at the hospital, she started acting up and had to be restrained in "The Wrap". She was charged with aggravated driving while under the influence (refusal) and with resisting arrest. Online court records show both charges were dismissed.
