On January 5, 2025, at approximately 3:00 AM, multiple officers were dispatched to a Resort regarding a trespass incident. A guest in a specific room was reported as disruptive and refused to leave the property. Upon arrival, the officers met with the security manager, who had received multiple noise complaints from other guests. Despite several attempts to contact the disruptive guests, there was no response. During the final attempt, a female guest opened the door but slammed it shut when informed of the complaints. The officers, accompanied by the security manager, approached the room and informed the female guest that she was being evicted. She began to argue about her payment for the room and refused to leave. The officers reiterated that she was on private property and would be arrested for trespassing if she did not comply. The guest continued to resist and attempted to walk away, stating she needed to call a friend. The officers then attempted to place her hands behind her back, but she resisted and dropped her weight to the floor, screaming. After repeated commands to comply, the officers managed to handcuff her. As they escorted her from the hotel, she continued to scream and resist. The officers informed her multiple times to stop resisting. She was eventually placed in a patrol vehicle and transported to the detention center without further incident. Based on the evidence, it was determined that the guest violated trespassing laws by willfully refusing to leave the property after being ordered to do so.
