-Cambridgeshire, UK. -March 30, 2023. Cambridgeshire Police have released video footage showing the moment armed police arrested Stephen Alderton - just hours after he gunned down a father and son. Alderton was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 25 years at Cambridge Crown Court this morning (October 23) after pleading guilty to killing the pair at their homes in Bluntisham and Sutton in March of this year. Alderton shot Joshua Dunmore twice in the hallway of his home in Bluntisham on March 29. He shot Gary Dunmore 31 minutes later in the hallway of his home in Sutton. Prosecutor Stephen Gair told Cambridge Crown Court that Alderton shot the men over a family court case involving his grandson. Alderton, of no fixed address, was arrested in the early hours of the following morning by armed police on the M5 motorway near Worcester. Footage released by Cambridgeshire Police shows police vehicles pulling up alongside the motorhome before turning on their lights and sirens and forcing the motorhome to pull over. Armed officers shout at Alderton to get out of the vehicle with his hands in the air before telling him to lie on the ground and put his hands behind his back. The shotgun used to kill the men and a bag of cartridges was found in the vehicle. Support us on Amazon! https://www.amazon.com/shop/policebodycamvideos
