Please like, comment, and SHARE! 🙏 🔍 Episode Overview: At 11:23 PM on July 14, 2022, Officer Jonathan Bag of the Ewing Police Department was patrolling near Olden Avenue and Pennington Road. He noticed a 2015 Jeep driving erratically. The driver made a right turn from Olden Avenue onto Pennington Road, speeding at 60 MPH in a 35 MPH zone, and then turned left onto Weber Avenue. Officer Bag turned on his emergency lights to pull the vehicle over, which stopped on eastbound Weber Avenue. Officer Bag approached the vehicle and spoke with the driver, 24-year-old Kaylee Wyckoff. He requested her identification. Her eyes looked red and watery, and her speech was unclear. She showed him her passport and claimed she had lost her driver's license. Although she denied drinking alcohol recently, Officer Bag noticed a smell of alcohol and saw open containers in the car. At this time, Officer Joseph Toth arrived to help with the traffic stop. Officer Bag suspected impairment and offered her a chance to do field sobriety tests. The first test was the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test. During this test, Officer Bag observed that she did not have smooth eye movement, showed distinct jerking in her eyes at maximum deviation, and the jerking started before 45 degrees in both eyes. The second test was the Walk and Turn test. In this test, Kaylee struggled with balance, did not walk heel-to-toe, and raised her arms to steady herself. The third test was the One Leg Stand test. Kaylee had multiple difficulties starting this test and nearly fell over. Due to her erratic driving, unclear speech, and failure to perform the field sobriety tests properly, Officer Bag arrested Kaylee for driving under the influence. During a search of her vehicle conducted by Officer Bag and Officer Toth, they discovered illegal substances and open alcohol containers. Officer Bag then took Kaylee to Ewing Police Headquarters for the initial processing. At police headquarters, Kaylee exercised her Miranda rights and chose not to answer any questions. Officer Bag informed her of the Standard Statement for Motor Vehicle Operators, and after a 20-minute observation period, Kaylee consented to provide breath samples. Lieutenant William Lardieri, who is certified to use the Alcotest machine, took Kaylee to the Alcotest room. The results from Kaylee's Alcotest showed a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.21%, which is more than twice the legal limit of 0.08%. After she was processed, Kaylee was released to a friend who signed the Potential Liability Warning form for her.
