Thanks to several concerned citizens, Deputy Bailey quickly located the vehicle weaving in and out of the lanes on I-75. Despite attempts to initiate a traffic stop, the driver didn't comply, and a pursuit began. Deputy Bailey performed a PIT maneuver, grabbing the driver's attention, who pulled over. The driver, 23-year-old Cody Vetter, was so intoxicated he didn't even realize why he was in handcuffs! He thought he was on I-75 South heading to Gainesville, completely unaware he was actually in Ocala. Vetter admitted to having 3-5 beers earlier in the day while canoeing. During his booking at the Marion County Jail, Vetter was asked to say the alphabet. He almost got through the whole song before jumping back to “H” and repeating the song from there. Vetter failed his field sobriety exercises and had a blood alcohol content of .232 and .225, nearly three times the legal limit. Vetter was released three days later after posting a $6,000 bond. He is being charged with fleeing to elude a law enforcement officer and driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level of .15 or higher. Jail records show that Vetter is scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Special thanks to Shout-Out Supporters on Patreon: - 'DIY Solar Power with Will Prowse' - Nathan Wilkinson - 'Portable 1' - Brice Danos - 'PhlyDaily' - 'Rowdy' - Derick McGill - Jerry Sonnal - 'Brantheman455' - 'Brother.Legal' - Zak Bennett - Jeff Short - 'walleye truth2power' - Spencer Scott - RayJayOB - Sean Sheldon - Marvin Tobar - Josef Rex - Lee Roberts - 'Mr. Unknown' - 'iqtester.org' - 'Skydog' - jaden - Jesse - Sabrina Bewey - Kelly Goodwin - 'Jun' - 'Xenik' - 'Rom' - kyle McBurnett - 'Fishy Tuna' - 'GotsNoGroove Cheryl' - 'CombatKid' - Exus Altimus - 'Dawesenm' - Paul Rohrbaugh - 'Krazy KZ' - Koby Bland - Christopher Payne - Zach Williams - Michael R Sheffield - Rich Biggs - 'JTrip' - Brant Eaton - James Pringle - 'AccuShoot.com' - 'Sopaul' - Lisa Overly - Connor Davies - 'Necko' - Gerardo Flores - Anthony Eufemio - 'Donkbot' - Gage Kissinger - 'coco Coco' ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Support us on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/PoliceActivity Follow us on X: https://x.com/Police_Activity - Links to the Best Dash Cams you can buy.
