A routine shoplifting investigation took an unexpected turn when a Walmart theft suspect fled the store in a golf cart before deputies tracked her down at the Stonecrest community pool. According to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, 25-year-old Natalie Nicole Martin allegedly attempted to leave Walmart with more than $70 worth of unpaid merchandise. After escaping from the store's asset protection office, she drove away in a golf cart, leading deputies to locate her minutes later. Bodycam footage captures the tense arrest as Martin refuses repeated commands to put her hands behind her back. After being taken into custody, deputies reportedly discovered methamphetamine and marijuana, with additional methamphetamine allegedly found during the jail booking process. This video documents the events leading from the reported retail theft to the arrest and the additional charges that followed. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
