Deputies responded to a local Walmart following a reported disturbance involving a female customer who became upset after being unable to have her phone repaired. According to deputies and Walmart Loss Prevention, the woman began arguing with employees and was advised that she was trespassed from the store and needed to leave. Despite multiple warnings from deputies that she was no longer permitted to remain inside Walmart, she continued to stay at the customer service desk and requested assistance from another employee. When deputies asked whether she would leave, she stated that she would not. Deputies then attempted to place her under arrest for trespassing. During the arrest, she pulled away and resisted attempts to gain control of her arms. Deputies eventually brought her to the ground and worked to secure her hands. While deputies were attempting to restrain her, she repeatedly raised her leg and struck a deputy in the back. She was given multiple clear verbal commands to stop. After her hands were secured, she continued struggling with deputies, including grabbing a deputy's hand and uniform. The woman was eventually handcuffed and escorted to a patrol vehicle with assistance from another deputy. She was transported to the Marion County Jail without further incident.
