An NYPD bodycam caught the terrifying moment a Queens home exploded right as officers opened the door. Police were responding to a domestic dispute in South Ozone Park after a 911 caller reported a man with a knife and the smell of gas inside the home. The footage shows officers moving toward the front door before a massive fireball throws them back. Even after the blast, the injured officers got up and rushed back toward the burning house to help rescue children and other residents. Eight NYPD officers were hurt, mostly with minor burns and cuts. Several people were displaced after the fire spread and damaged nearby homes. One of the most intense NYPD bodycam clips you’ll see.
