Police responded to a child-welfare call outside an Edgewater bar after a 2-year-old girl was reportedly found alone in an unlocked car that wasn’t running. According to the arrest report, she was crying and cold to the touch. When officers speak with Kristina Vitucci and her boyfriend, Joshua Harris, they hear two different accounts of who was responsible for watching the child and how long everyone had been at the bar. Kristina says Josh had been watching her. Josh says he only learned the child was outside shortly before police contact. The bodycam shows officers working through those timelines and comparing what each person tells them. Some parts of their stories overlap, while others don’t. Police later alleged the child had been unattended for nearly two hours, although the exact length of time remains disputed in the footage.
