On February 23, 2023, Ohio State Highway Patrol Sgt. Gockstetter observed a vehicle traveling with a broken tail light. She initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and the police report notes that the 20-year-old driver exhibited slow motor skills and had dilated pupils and red eyes. She was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests and was later arrested for DUI. She was transported to the Elyria police station, where she provided a urine specimen. She was charged with Operating a Vehicle Impaired (OVI), Driving on a Temporary Permit, Driving with No Seat Belt, Possession of Cannabis, and Possession of Paraphernalia. She was then driving home by Sgt. Gockstetter. On October 23, 2023, she pled guilty to two amended charges: Reckless Operating of a Vehicle and Having Physical Control of a Vehicle Under the Influence. The other charges were dismissed. She was fined and placed on probation.
