On February 14, 2025, Algonquin Police responded to a motor vehicle accident. When Officer Kugler approached the 27-year-old driver of the at-fault vehicle, the woman stated she did not have a license or insurance. It was later revealed that she was driving on a suspended license from a previous DUI arrest. She was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests and she refused. She was then placed under arrest for suspicion on DUI. She was transported to the Algonquin police station where she refused to provide breath samples. Officer Kugler advised the woman that she would be applying for a blood warrant. However, off camera the woman complained of not feeling well and asked to be transported to the hospital. This apparently prevented Officer Kugler from applying for the warrant. The video ends with Officer Kugler listing the woman's 5 charges. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
