A 10-year-old and a 7-year-old were home alone with the front door unlocked and no phones in the house. Their mother was in handcuffs on the side of the road. Deputies stopped her after she nearly struck a patrol vehicle and drifted onto the rumble strip. She said she'd had one glass of wine. Minutes later she said two. She was arrested for DUI — and only then did she tell deputies about her children. Asked who was watching them, she said she had no one. Deputies went looking for someone who could get to the house. What they found was an unlocked door, two kids who'd been alone for hours, and a version of events that didn't match what the children told them. No narration. No commentary. Just the footage.
