Clearwater, Florida—a slice of paradise for some, but for one 19-year-old, it was the scene of heartbreak and chaos. After being forced out of her boyfriend’s home by his mother—who was determined to keep them apart—the young woman called 911 in a moment of desperation. But when officers arrived, she insisted it was all a mistake, begging them to leave. Trying to help, officers offered her a ride to a nearby shelter. But emotions soon boiled over when she learned her boyfriend refused to see or speak to her. & That ride of compassion took a shocking turn landing her in handcuffs.
