Deputies responded to reports of a reckless driver speeding through a crowded beach in New Smyrna Beach, with witnesses estimating the SUV was traveling between 25 and 50 mph in a posted 10 mph zone. Authorities say the vehicle entered a restricted conservation area near Smyrna Dunes Park and nearly struck multiple beachgoers, including children, while weaving through heavy pedestrian traffic. The SUV was later located near the shoreline after allegedly driving past clearly marked no vehicle signs and through unsafe beach conditions caused by the incoming tide. No injuries were reported despite several witnesses claiming the driver came within inches of hitting people. ⚖️ CONTENT NOTICE & FAIR USE This channel is fully compliant with YouTube's Fair Use Policy.
