THIS VIDEO IS FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY WHAT HAPPENED: Surveillance footage appears to show 42-year-old David Marquez, a security guard in San Marcos, deploying a Taser at extremely close range during an altercation with a customer. The incident sparked widespread criticism, prompting the restaurant to condemn the guard's actions and end its relationship with both him and the third-party security company. Marquez was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and assault with a stun gun before later being released from custody. *Disclaimer: I do not claim ownership of the original footage. It has been edited and presented with added context under the Fair Use doctrine.
