On July 29, 2023, an officer from the Sauk Prairie Police Department stopped a vehicle after he noticed it traveling at a high rate of speed. After contacting the driver, the officer noticed signs of impairment. The suspect was asked to perform field sobriety tests. He was arrested and charged with “OWI (3rd)”. The driver was also charged with “unreasonable and imprudent speeds'' but that charge was dropped in court. He was released on a $850 bond and charged over $2000 in fines.
