A driver in a lifted pickup truck tries to cut around a car stopped at a stop sign outside a Publix plaza on Belle Terre Parkway in Palm Coast, Florida, and ends up driving right over the front of a 2019 Toyota Camry before speeding off the wrong way down Palm Coast Parkway. Witnesses give Flagler County deputies a description and a partial license plate, and later that night deputies show up at the truck owner's door, where they find fresh damage on the pickup. After being read his rights, the driver admits he was behind the wheel but insists he thought he had only hit a curb, even after a deputy tells him video shows the truck going around the stopped car and over its hood. He's arrested barefoot at his front door for leaving the scene of a crash with property damage. The case was later sent to a pretrial diversion program.
