Orange County, Florida – On July 20, 2025, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple alleged traffic violations, including entering a stop or yield intersection and exceeding the maximum permitted bumper height. As an officer exited his patrol vehicle to conduct the traffic stop, the driver immediately began getting out of her vehicle. The officer instructed her to remain inside, and she eventually complied after repeatedly questioning the reason for the stop. During the investigation, officers requested her driver’s license, registration, and proof of insurance. The driver initially refused to provide the requested documents until she was given an explanation for the traffic stop. She repeatedly stated that she was in law school. Officers explained that they would address the reason for the stop after obtaining the required documentation. When the driver continued to refuse to comply, officers removed her from the vehicle. The encounter then escalated as she resisted officers and made multiple verbal threats. During the subsequent investigation and arrest, she was also able to slip out of her handcuffs multiple times. The driver was ultimately charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, assault on a law enforcement officer, and resisting an officer without violence.
