On 05/12/2024, a police officer responded to a location regarding a physical disturbance between a customer and an employee. Upon arrival, an individual was observed lying on the sidewalk in front of the business, being physically restrained by another individual. The officer, along with assistance from other officers, placed the individual in hand restraints. An investigation revealed that the customer had ordered a meal and a drink but claimed he could not pay due to not having his credit card. The employee attempted to make arrangements for payment, leading to a confrontation where the customer became agitated and accused the employee of involvement in a separate issue. The employee asked the customer to step outside to avoid disturbance, which escalated into a physical altercation when the customer attempted to flee with the employee's cell phone. Witnesses corroborated the events, with one individual describing the escalating situation and another employee confirming the attempted theft of the cell phone. The customer was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of Robbery by Sudden Snatching for taking the cell phone with the intent to deprive the employee of it.
