Stuart Police responded to a report of a man sleeping in a pickup truck on Palm City Road around 8 p.m. The suspect, Steve Beausoleil, refused to exit the vehicle and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. When officers attempted to detain him, he ran over an officer’s foot and struck a mailbox before fleeing the scene. 🚨 The pursuit began on Palm City Road and continued onto US-1, with Martin County Sheriff’s Office assisting.
